Senior Life
The Senior Life Center inpatient program at Parkridge is designed to address the emotional and mental needs of adults 65 years and older. The Senior Life Center provides a full range of geropsychiatric services (behavioral care in conjunction with medical care) to the patients admitted to the program.
Patients who are admitted to the program are involved in cognitive therapy, group therapy, recreation therapy and educational groups. A multidisciplinary team, including a psychiatrist (who directs the patient’s treatment plan), social worker, recreation therapist, nurses and other behavioral health professionals, oversees the treatment process. Prior to discharge from the program, the treatment team will assist patients and their family members in identifying resources in the community that will offer continuing support after discharge.
Referrals may be made to the program 24 hours a day. Assessments are scheduled by calling 423-493-6822.
